Assistant to the Director General (Academic Affairs)

  • Master’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an academic or administrative setting

The Assistant to the Director General (Academic Affairs) will play a key coordinating role in ensuring the smooth flow of academic operations and communication within the institution. The applicant will be responsible for following up with academic staff and departments on tasks, deadlines, and reports, and for ensuring that all required academic information and updates are compiled and submitted to the Director General in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow up with department heads and academic staff to ensure timely submission of reports, schedules, and other academic documentation
  • Track the implementation of academic programs, initiatives, and decisions made by the Management
  • Prepare regular summary reports and briefings for the Director General on academic matters and pending actions
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and correspondence related to academic issues
  • Maintain updated records of academic activities, staffing, and departmental performance indicators
  • Communicate reminders and follow-up requests from the Director General to relevant departments and ensure responses are received.
  • Draft letters, memos, and reports as requested by the Director General
  • Ensure smooth and efficient communication between the Director General’s Office and the academic units
  • Support the organization of academic events, accreditation visits, and evaluation processes
