Applicants must submit the Learning Agreement, a transcript of records, proof of English language knowledge and a photo with their application form.
Deadlines for incoming students from the European Higher Education Area and do not require visa to enter Cyprus.

Language Of Teaching
The official language of teaching for all programmes is English and Greek.
Language Support For Incoming Students
To facilitate Erasmus student mobility, Erasmus students, have the possibility to take during the semester Modern Greek language courses, offered free of charge at two levels: elementary and intermediate. The Modern Greek language course is allocated 6 ECTS credits in both semesters with 3 teaching hours per week.
Method Of Teaching
Lectures at CityU are delivered through all the usual conventional methods of teaching, that is lectures, group discussions, presentations, seminars etc.
Visa Information
Students who require visa to enter Cyprus must provide by the deadline set by the Civil Registry and Migration department the following documents, for the M58- Entry visa application:
- Opportunities for students to engage in a professional training year with both national and international employers especially in the SME sector.
- Copy of valid passport
- Police certificate which proves clear criminal record (not older than 6 months)
All documents must be attested by the national authorities and the Cypriot embassy/consulate.
After their arrival in Cyprus students must provide the following documents for the M61- Residence permit. The college supports and accompanies the students in the process.
- Copy of valid passport
- Medical exams (blood test, X-Ray) with negative results for Hepatitis B and C, HIV, syphilis and tuberculosis
- Health Insurance
- Residence contract

Practical Information
Cost of Living
The Average cost of living in Nicosia, excluding accommodation and utilities, ranges from €300-€350 per month.
Accommodation
Students can visit the accommodation office in order to find a suitable and convenient accommodation. Since there is no on-campus accommodation, the college is in constant contact with private flat owners and can provide guidelines and useful information to all interested students.
It can also help students in finding roommates. Prices for accommodation range from €180-€300.
Meals
Yellow Door is the college’s cafeteria and restaurant. It is situated in walking distance from all buildings and it is ideal for dining, entertainment and recreation. The restaurant has a menu that includes a variety of hot meals as well as snacks such as sandwiches, desserts, fruit and drinks. It is open from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
Medical Facilities
The College maintains a First Aid room with all necessary first aid kits at the reception of the International Building. Additionally, several of the College’s staff occupy the diploma of First Aid and are therefore, able to respond to any emergencies.
Facilities for Students with Disabilities
The College is sensitive about issues relevant to disabilities. In terms of students with physical disabilities, the College is equipped with lifts and ramps at all entrances in order for the disabled individuals to access the building. Additionally, the College has special WC facilities on different floors which accommodate the needs of disabled individuals.
In terms of students with learning difficulties, the College maintains a special treatment for these individuals as it acknowledges the uniqueness of each person. Specifically, faculty members are informed about each individual in order to accommodate their needs accordingly. Special accommodation includes flexibility on test administration (time/place) and extra tutorials in cases they are needed and requested by the students.
Insurance
EU students are required to have a valid European Health Insurance card during their stay in Cyprus. They are also advised to get an insurance that covers them for accidents both within as well as outside the premises of the College.
International students must obtain a private health insurance that covers their whole stay in Cyprus. The College helps students get this kind of insurance through its partners.
Additionally, the College has appointed a private doctor who is available when there is an emergency.
Student Affairs Office
The Student Affairs office of the college covers a range of services required by students in order to help them find their way into college life.
Some of these services are: Counseling Services, Student Activities (in cooperation with the student union), Career Advice, Housing and International Student Assistance.
Counseling sessions are taking place with students that might be facing any academic, social or emotional problems. It is important to state that all information is strictly confidential and students are encouraged to visit the counselor when they are in a difficult time.
As noted above the Student Affairs office cooperates with the college’s Student Union both in organizing events but also in enhancing the communication between the staff of the Institution and the students.

Student Union
The CityU student Union acts as a means of communication between the College and its students. It is autonomous and its actions are based on the official student Union constitution.
The Students’ Union organizes activities, initiatives and events for students throughout the year, while their advice team provides support and advice on a range of academic issues.
Events for Students
Various types of student events are organized all year around such as: welcome party, blood donation, bowling night, futsal days, charity events, trips, night outs and many more.
