Aim of the programme
Students enrolled in this program earn a Diploma in Culinary Arts which seeks to prepare students for entry level cooking positions in restaurants, hotels or other food service operations with future career prospects in related positions They will be trained and receive academic instruction on how to apply the knowledge and skills necessary for entering the Hospitality Industry at a level allowing for continuing education and/or life sustained employment.
The hospitality and tourism industry is central in the economy of Cyprus, as well as the economies of most countries, therefore developing programs of study related to this important industry is a necessity to satisfy the needs of the market . Our Institution has developed already a Bachelor level degree in Hospitality and a Diploma in Animation and is now proceeding with the Diploma and Certificate in Culinary Arts.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Culinary Arts Diploma program, at CUCN the student will be able to:
- Get general knowledge of the Industry
- Understand the basic cooking methods
- Understand the hygiene, nutrition and safety principles
- Familiarize with all cooking techniques for various products
- Perform knife skills
- Demonstrate competencies in food and beverage operations.
- Execute recipes and follow the cooking procedures.
- Be able to create menus and follow purchase and costing operations
- Demonstrate sensitivity to the storage, maintenance and protection of raw materials
- Demonstrate ethical behavior in personal and professional activities

- One Passport Copy (must be valid for at least 2 years from the programme’s commence date)

- High & Senior High School Leaving Certificates - 10th & 12th Level in English Language
- High & Senior High School Transcripts - 10th & 12th Level (min 50% GPA) in English Language
