Learning Outcomes

With the completion of this programme students will be able to:

  • Students will gain a broad knowledge and skills in the main thematic areas of the programme with a solid foundation in business. They will be expected to adapt to a work environment where changes require continuous training and learning.
  • Graduates will gain the capacity to participate usefully in society, succeed in their chosen careers, develop responsible personal values and contribute to a changing global economy.

 

Business Diploma students are expected to gain the following learning outcomes:

  • Business knowledge: The basic functions of business which are accounting, marketing, management and economics and finance
  • Critical Thinking: To identify business problems, study and analyze them and make sound business decisions
  • Communication: To demonstrate leadership and communication skills (oral and written) and exhibit professional behavior 
  • Ethics: To recognize, analyze and choose resolution to ethical problems explicit or implicit in decision-making
  • Leadership: To demonstrate business leadership and decision-making skills necessary to be effective managers
  • Technology: To use computer software related to business

Teaching Methods

Students can design, with their professors’ assistance, their method of studying. At the same time, the course structure and the various teaching methods have been designed to support this practice. Micro-teaching is encouraged through the use of specific international practices such as case studies, while practical training is complemented by the use of appropriate materials, videos, computer software, etc. The teaching material is presented through a mix of lectures, seminars and workshops. *Some teaching methods might not apply to all subjects.
