Aim of the programme
The City Unity College Nicosia Bachelor Degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management was designed for passionate individuals with a career interest in the hospitality and tourism industry. The international hospitality and tourism industry represents a wide range of businesses and City Unity College Nicosia aims to transform its potential students into progressive managers; infused with dynamism, professional competencies and vision. Required and elective courses have been developed to give students a strong sense of managerial responsibilities needed in the industry. More specifically, the programme provides to students a solid hospitality, tourism and business education through required courses.
A number of required and elective courses from other thematic areas should be completed as well. The curriculum is carefully balanced between theory and practice, giving students many opportunities for group projects, case studies, and individual presentations. The curriculum provides the necessary competencies that will prepare students for cutting-edge opportunities in the international hospitality and tourism industry.

Learning Outcomes
With the completion of this programme students will be able to:
- Develop a critical awareness and understanding of the main functional areas of international hospitality and tourism management and the management process within a variety of international hospitality and tourism businesses
- Acquire the attributes of a supervisory-level employee, along with organisational abilities
- Improve the needed technical, interpersonal skills and knowledge to make an effective contribution to a hospitality or tourism organisation as a supervisor or middle manager upon graduation.
- Understand the characteristics of the consumer and implications for the management of service encounters
- Lay the foundation for future and continuing professional development
- Improve intellectual and imaginative powers, their understanding and judgement; their problem-solving skills; their ability to communicate; their ability to see relationships within what they have learned and to perceive their study of hospitality and tourism management in a broader perspective.
